Short version: we collect only what the app needs to plan and sync your trips. We don't sell your data and we don't use ad trackers.
What we collect
Account: your email address (or Sign in with Apple identifier) and an encrypted password managed by our backend provider, Supabase.
Trips you save: destinations, dates, number of travelers, your chosen options, booking statuses, confirmation numbers and amounts you enter, and trip notes. These sync to your account so they're on all your devices.
Profile and saved adventures: your display name, home town, preferred airport, interests and default budget, plus adventures you save, so the app is set up the same on every device.
Shared trips: if you invite friends, the trip plan and the display name you choose are visible to people with your invite code; members' names and "I'm booking this" claims are visible to the group.
Price lookups: to show flight prices, the airports and dates you search are sent to our server and to our fare data partner (Travelpayouts / Aviasales). No personal details are included.
What stays on your device
Traveler details (legal name, date of birth and similar) are stored only in your device's Keychain. They are never uploaded to Ridgetrip.
Location is used on your device, only with your permission, to show nearby adventures and estimate drive times. We don't store your location history.
Calendar access is used only when you ask Ridgetrip to add your itinerary, and only to add events.
Booking partners
When you open a partner (such as Aviasales, Booking.com, Hostelworld, Agoda or Viator) from Ridgetrip, that partner's own privacy policy applies to what you enter there. Links may include a referral code so the partner can credit Ridgetrip with a commission.
Maps
Maps and nearby places come from Apple Maps, subject to Apple's privacy policy.
What we don't do
We don't sell or rent your information.
We don't use third-party advertising or tracking SDKs.
Keeping and deleting your data
We keep your account data while your account is active. You can delete your account and synced trips at any time in the app (Profile → Delete account & data) or by emailing us.
Children
Ridgetrip is not directed to children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information.
